The Elvis Presley Charity Golf Classic is a fund raising arm of The 'Official' Irish Elvis Presley Fan Club The fan club was founded twenty two years ago here in Dublin and has but one aim and that is to perpetuate the name of Elvis Presley by raising funds for charity in his name. To date over 400,000 euro's has been donated to Charities here in Ireland in the name of Elvis Presley.To date we have worked on behalf of many charities here in Ireland such as, The Barrett Cheshire Homes, the Beaumont foundation, which of course is the fund raising arm of Beaumont Hospital, The Spina Bifida and Hydrocepelus Society of Ireland, and The Fredreicks Ataxia Society, St John Of God, Menni Services, to name just a few, and now of course now Irish Autish Action The fan club is officially recognised by the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee and I would like to thank them for granting us a special license to enable us to host our annual Elvis Presley Golf Classic and Gala Spectacular Charity Concert. As well as being dedicated to raising funds for charity the club also provides a service to the Elvis fans here in Ireland through our web site www.elvis.ie The fan club also works tirelessly to highlight the career and music of Elvis and issue many press releases to the media, and produce "Elvis Extra" which is broadcast on Dublin’s 106.8 FM every Sunday from 7-8pm. The club has also cooperated in the making of many radio and television documentaries and acted as P.R. on many projects such as ‘Elvis The Concert’ at The Point etc. We have run many high profile charity events here in Ireland in many prestigious venues e.g. Jury’s Hotel, in Ballsbridge, Leopardstown Racecourse, Vicar Street, and now of course City West.
