82,065 Euro raised for charity
 The
first ever Elvis Presley Charity Golf Classic
was launched in the residence of the Lord Mayor
of Dublin Mr. Dermot Lacey in June 2003, the
event itself was hosted by Citywest, Golf and
Leisure Centre, Saggart, Co. Dublin, Ireland on
Friday 29th. August 2003, 40 Golf teams took
part in the golf classic and 2,000 people
attended the evening's Grand Charity Concert
'Elvis and Friends' in the main Conference
Centre. E.P.E. in Graceland, Memphis, Tennessee,
USA. granted the Irish Elvis Presley Fan Club a
special licence to run the event, a facility
that is provided to all Elvis Presley Fan Club's
worldwide in relation to the runing of charity
events. 82,065 Euro was raised on the day and
benefited St. John of God, Menni Services,
Islandbridge, Dublin, Ireland.
